differentiated adenocarcinoma(44.8%) and the most common gross type of tumor was Borrmann type III.
Noncurative surgical procedures were performed in 39.9 percent and 60.9 percent had curative gastric resection.
The overall 5 year survival rate was 61.1 percent.
